DBA Programme from Edinburgh Business School (Heriot Watt University -UK)

I have just been accepted to do the Edinburgh Business School DBA programme at the Heriot Watt University. I know they have an internationally recognised MBA degree.

Can someone please advise me if their DBA programme is good?

 

When you say "good" you mean "quality of education", then the program is excellent.

 

Yes i mean the quality and international acceptance. You seem to be an ambassador for the EBS? How does it rank amongst UK qualifications?

 

I'm an abassador for the alumni association. I have nothing to do with student. For profiles of UK universities, you can check "The Good University Guide" at Good University Guide | University League Tables | University Rankings - Times Online . You might have to register.

I am getting ready to apply for the DBA program at EBS. How difficult was the admissions process? Any pointers you can provide? Also, did you look at any other schools for a DBA?

Hello all-it has been a while!

I see conversations about the EBS DBA.

I did the MBA, then did the Strategic Planning specialization, and finally, after I did the PhD program at Capella, I finished up and did the MSc in Strategic Planning.

I am thinking now, what the heck--I should just finish the whole thing, do the dissertation, and get the DBA designation as well. I have a good plan for a dissertation, I just need to do Intro to Business Research 2 and 3 this December, and move forward.

I will keep you posted on what happens.

Yikes. I'm still licking my wounds from my first dissertation. I don't think I would want to go through that process again!
