Why would a Pakistani University be solely geared towards Americans if it was truly a Pakistani School. All the pics on the home page are of Americans...lol
This is what made me want to attend,
"1. To prepare young men and women for responsible positions in all lines of social community.
    2. To help pupils win their way to a noble, responsible and professional icon of the society.

The National Council of Criminology of Pakistan (a professional body of the criminologists) started its struggle in 2003 to promote the subject of Criminology and create an institution that would be a symbol of the professionalism. We are materialising our dream by forming such institution of Criminal, Homeland and Security Sciences in Pakistan, particularly."

God, knowing how hard it is to get a job with a real degree from Pakistani, it’s got to darn near impossible to get a job with a fake degree.

Just feeling that if they take so much pride in their accreditation, they should at least name the university. One thing that I find very strange, why should you need to "apostiled" the degree you are issuing?

    Dear Friends,

I think we shouldnt taunt at nobody. We must be optimistic and respectful so that we shouldnt create hatred amongst the races, cultures and religions. Instead of talking of the education system in Pakistan, the pictures they have used on their website, or talking of the honorary degrees, we must be talking of what they are offering, its validity, and credibility.

    Thanking you all!

If you go match making after seeing the photo of a beautiful girl and the one who appear is a 70 year old woman, will you trust that match maker?

What they are offering? Honorary degrees are one of their offers! What validity and credibility is there left?

    Dear Jack,
I have tried to find out where they are offering honorary degrees and I couldnt see except this
    DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA (D.Hon.)
Honorary doctorates are granted to those individuals who have demonstrated humanitarian or scientific excellence. Every case is carefully analysed, and the proposal must the approved by the NICSS Academic Committee. Candidates must submit: the Curriculum Vitae, two letters of reference and a minimum donation.

Other than this I cant find any other honorary degree that they are offering. Can you please help me find out that? As far as an honorary degree is concerned, Havard and Oxford also issue honorary degrees. So............ should we doubt their credibility? We all know that the honorary degree is nothing more than a recognition of oneś services towards the society. This is what I have seen here: Honorary degree - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
For my understanding, this institute is not for a profit. As they say that this is the project of an NGO. This is why I can see the lowest tuition fees. Otherwise the faculty they have is impressive.
Dear friends! We can live a better life if we stop doubting the others from the very beginning. Until one proves, we do not have any reason to say bad things.

    Thanking you,

This thing's faculty list includes a couple of names that long-time Degreeinfo readers will probably recognize:

    http://www.nucss.edu.pk/Faculty.php

    S. H. Syed Azeemi, the Chairman of the National Council of Criminology of Pakistan and NICSS President is apparently a former St. Regis University professor. He was calling his own school the National University of Criminal and Security Sciences at that time and the thing is still using those initials on its url.

And Stephen Barnhart has been mentioned often on this board in various connections.

Upon rereading the old SRU faculty page, it seems that Mr. Azeemi's school was actually called the National University of Applied Criminology and Forensic Science at that time. The 'NUCSS' url does suggest that it might have been calling itself 'National University of Criminal and Security Sciences' for a while there. Now it's apparently an 'Institute'.

    Dear Bill,

It is really good information what you have brought. I think, without doubting any oneś intentions we must see if all is going well! If they are not doing any malpractice then I dont bother if anyone had been a professor in any other college or university.
I once again thank to Bill for useful information. We can criticise positively without any sarcasm. Lets observe keenly what they do in future.

    Thanking you all.

If you are the professor of

Saint Regis University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A diploma mill and you start your own school, I am not very positive about your school. I can criticize without sarcasm, but on the negative side.

If that "other college or university" was a complete scam that simply sold degrees over the internet, whose owners were exposed as con-artists and subsequently convicted of fraud, then I'd say that it might be a very significant data-point.

Don't criticise or condescend to the people who post here. You're in no position to do that.

The individuals that you are dismissing gave you excellent information that you need to consider very carefully:

The school apparently sells "honorary" life-experience degrees.

The school tells us that its credibility is assured by its being "affiliated" with a conventional Pakistani university, but it fails to reveal that university's name or to explain the precise nature of the affiliation. The school talks about unnamed Pakistani ministries and about stamps and seals, but the only specific provided was the word 'apostile', which is irrelevant.

The library photograph turns out to belong to a Hungarian cathedral's website and has nothing remotely to do with this ostensibly Pakistani institute.

My own opinion is that this school and the diplomas that it awards look extremely doubtful. I can't give them much credence at this point.

Another thing, given that this enterprise seems to be aimed at the wider Anglophone world and perhaps at Americans, its NICSS initials seem strangely similar to 'NCIS', the name of a rather entertaining American television show about fictional government security investigators. Just a coincidence, I'm sure.

The part that stands out the most to me is that you have started this thread by asking for comments and then when the comments are provided you want to argue, saying "You shouldn't make such comments." This comes across as shilling and perhaps even worse, extending the discussion so that your "school" can pick up more hits. Please be prepared to have the links to this entity erased. The discussion may continue but we do not want to provide advertising for certain organizations.

    Dear Friends,

You can do whatever you want. I just wanted to say there is a sober way to criticise. Whenever I hear such phrases of hatred, sarcasm, doubts, I feel as we are not educated or our parents or teachers havent taught us the manners. This is an educational forum, but, sorry to say we are very rude most of the time taunting at those whom we dont like. It reminds me of the time when shells of 162mm Mortar dropped nearby and all around I could hear shouting, yelling, abuses and sarcasm. A few battle wounds have taught me to be calm and quiet and observe the things and investigate them with logic and reason and not with hypotheses and assumptions. I dont know how many of you have contacted with the concerned school to ask their status.
About someone in the faculty list that might have the link with old stinking debate of SRU must be analysed carefully. If anyone from the SRU faculty who repeatedly appears in the scams should be cursed, but, without verifying that this is the same person we are talking of him. Most of us cheated without noticing it, without being knowing the fact that what is happening. Take the papers and read the news, banks are cheating, government agencies are cheating, different organisations are cheating and we dont know! We know what we are told or unless we investigate.
All bad things must be condemned but in a gentle and educated way. This is what I wanted to communicate and perhaps I could not make myself clear. I am sorry for that. I apologise to all whom I have hurt as this I never meant.
You can keep discussing this topic or you can give benefits to the school for your free advertisement (as you say). I do benefit from this forum, keep reading it time to time as it helps me investigate the schools.

    I thank you all.
