I adjunct at many Universities and as some of you know, you are required to show 18 graduate credits in a particular area in order to apply for new subjects. I have accumulated few ACE credits, Microsoft certifications, accounting graduate courses, etc from different places including Universities in Australia and UK. I wonder if it would be worth to pay the $250 in order to consolidate the credits so I can forward them to every school that I teach. It is a lot easier to send one transcript from one place rather than having to send individual credits. Also, I noticed that some American schools tend to ignore credits earned at foreign schools as they use a different system (e.g. Australia uses units rather than credits).

Does any one have experience with credit banks for adjunct positions?

Are you required to submit official transcripts each time you apply to a new school?

My first instinct was "no" but in today's job climate, if you find yourself having to request these over and over, it may be worth it. Plus a consolidated evaluation of your overseas credits may help as well.

But what do your non-graduate credits have to do with it? Do you really submit your MS and other cert info to every uni?

I hope not-I have tons of MS, Cisco, Citrix, etc certs...it would be a nightmare gathering those for every job!

Some schools that I work for require me to send them transcripts if I want to be considered for new courses. Excelsior provides credit for ACE recommendations for credits and Microsoft certifications. I have taken training with learning tree so I have some. The Microsoft credits might help me to get work in a different area. Putting credits to the overseas courses also might help.

oh, so they want to see all of your education, as opposed to just your grad credits.

Do you teach IT related courses too?

I don't have any experience with the credit bank but it sounds interesting! :)
