The publisher, Ten Speed Press, was purchased by Random House* last year (a reputed $30 million!). Random House is in the process of deciding which of the 2,000 titles they acquired (including 14 of mine) they will revise and reissue. So far I've heard about two, both cookbooks: one yes, one no. No way to know when the other decisions will come down. They have three choices:
1. Ask for a 17th edition
2. Do nothing now, but hold on to the rights for a later decision
3. Return the rights to my daughter and me.
