    Hello everyone

I was wondering if any one has suggestions for distance programs doctoral studies in Applied Linguists, Education, E-learning or ESL or similar. (I do not care if it is a research degree (PhD) or coursework & research (DEd, DAppLing, etc.).

    My criteria
    • if US based needs to be regionally accredited)
    • cost- under 15K (i know that is a tough one)
    • from a university that also has traditional learning (bricks and mortar)
    • from a university that is old enough to suggest it will not close up in a few years

    - I hold a Master of Applied Linguistics and graduated with a high GPA.

So far I have found two possibles that I am looking into more closely:

    University of Souyth Africa

    Indira Gandhi National Open University

If anyone has any suggestions or comments (about these or other universities it would be very much appreciated)

    Thanks in advance

There is one from the University of South Africa. It costs 1.6k/year and is dissertation-only. Of course, 'tis up to you if it fits your needs.
