Cheapest / Easiest Bachelors

    Hello I'm after a bachelors degree so that I can travel to a country which requires one for the visa.

    I'd like to get a PROPER accredited real degree from somewhere and I'd like to get the easiest one possible as it's only for the visa.
    I've got a budget of about $5000 USD

    Edit: It can be any country as long as it's in English, obviously. :}

    Are you searching for a Bachelor degree, or a visa? I am confused.... University of Wyoming used to charge $94.00/credit x 120 credits = $11,280.00 plus fees. I don't know where you can get a Bachelor degree with $5,000.00. With $5,000.00 you can get a Master degree because it requires less courses. Maybe you want to check with University of South Africa (UNISA).

    I don't particularly want a degree, but I would like to live in Japan.

    For the working visa I require a bachelor degree, in anything.

    To meet this requirement I am after a degree, in anything.

    That's how it relates to a visa.

    You can save a lot of time and money through proficiency examinations for credit. See below for a couple examples of how it can help you:
    Their tuition is the same today as it was when you last checked... but he doesn't have to get all of his credits in one place:

    60 credits from Clovis Community College
    $225.00 for each 6 credit semester = $2,250.00

    30 credits from CLEP general exams
    $95 for each 6-credit exam = $570.00

    30 credits from University of Wyoming
    $94.00 for each credit = $2820.00

    For a total of $5640.00; that could probably be brought under $5,000.00 if other resources are used besides Clovis for a few of those 60 credits.

    Charter Oak State College and Excelsior College are among only 3 schools in the country that allow (almost) all of your credit through transfer. They do charge fees for enrollment and graduation, but you can get your credit from anywhere that is accredited or other recognized methods of credit award, like the CLEP exams I mentioned earlier. That could help you save a ton of money overall, and is almost always the quickest path toward getting a real, legitimate degree.

    That said, if President Obama sucessfully extends the American Opportunity Tax Credit beyond the year 2010, you get back up to $2000 a year in tax credits for college tuition and related expenses for a maximum of four years. Even if this doesn't get extended, if you hurry, you can maximize the benefit for this year, paying $2,000 worth of classes before Jan 1, 2011 (you can include $ paid for classes that start in the spring semester of 2011, as long as you pay for them before January). That should give you a break of at least 2k and, if it DOES get extended- spread out over the four years, could help you cover your entire degree. If this gets extended, I will finish my degree having paid just over $1,000.00 out of pocket for my degree (including exam fees and books).

    Come on Ted by that statement we would all need to be Ivy League educated to not have a cheesy degree. Better yet we just need to all get a degree from George Washington University which is notoriously expensive.

    Easy is also a relative term. What's easy for you may be incredibly hard for me. There needs to be a more solid defintion of that word. :D

    My friend would also like to come to Japan with me and he's got a Diploma of Management, Diploma of International Business, Diploma of Financial Services (FP), Certificate 4 Marketing, Certificate 4 Business, Certificate 3 customer communcations.

    These are Australian qualifications.

    I'm not sure but will a degree exempted under law count, if so there are religious degree options that are in that price range. If I recall one was posted here that is virtually free [$100 a year for fees] and is seeking DETC accreditation.

    That would be NationsU and it is not easy...but it is cheap. I took a few classes and it was time consuming and tough!
