    Folks.

Once again, I'm having to waste time cleaning up arguments, and I don't like having to do that. So instead, I've moved the entire threads out of the public area until I have time to clean up and restore the threads.

    But you can all help.

First, please don't label anyone a troll, even if you suspect they are. Instead, use the little icon in the corner of the offending post to report it and let the mod team deal with it.

Real trolls enjoy the attention they get from being called trolls, and people who are lacking in social graces, but not really trolls, won't respond favorably either, so calling them out is pointless.

Second, don't resort to insulting the poster; stick to the content of the post. Same as above.

Thirds, I really don't want to see DegreeInfo degenerate into a forum full of off-topic images. So please don't post those (well, ok, except as appropriate in the off-topic section.) There are plenty of other communities on the web where that stuff belongs, but this isn't one of them.

Sometimes I feel like a 4th grade teacher, becaues this should be obvious, but apparently it isn't. So please help me and the rest of the mod team out here, ok? :)

Isnt this interesting, earlier it was okay for you to call others and including me a Troll. Now you are teaching other how to behave? I find it rather Hypocritical.

Well, there's no ambiguity here for me- I am the one guilty of the off-topic images. Sorry about that. Unlike a fourth grader, however, you don't have to tell me twice :).

I'll bring back the DL Ph.D. thread and the other one once I have time to clean it up and de-flame it a bit.

As for Migara... I'm human and imperfect like everyone else who posts here, and I actually don't think I've ever actively asked people to not call out trolls before, because we haven't had problems with them until recently. So in a sense, what I am now asking is a new policy. Satisfied?

Thank you. Minus some of the issues, there's some great information and advice within it.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. He can call us whatever he wants and make whatever policies he chooses. If we disagree, we are free to leave but I think he's doing a good job.

It's the biggest, the baddest, the most active, the most informative, the oldest and the absolute best online community for distance/online learning.
