What are the pros and cons of each school. In particular I'd like to know if either of them would accept a GED for admission and if not, what would I need to do in addition to that to be accepted. Secondly, what is reputation of each school in academia ie Would it be a problem being accepted into a Master's program at a US college with a degree from either school?

UNISA is much cheaper but U of L will have better name recognition, less xenophobia potential. In both cases you'd probably need to go through a service that establishes the equivalency of foreign degrees with US degrees in order to be admitted into a grad program. There shouldn't be a problem in either case, it's just an additional step you'll likely have to take in either case..

Note: Check on the policies regarding testing. If there's not a UNISA sanctioned testing center near you then you can spend considerable time/money traveling to a center to take required tests at the end of every semester. Compare this with the U of L testing regimen.

For the U of London External programs you need to check "access route" to find out what prerquisites are required. Here is the access route for a BSC in Business:
Access course route - LSE - University of London - External System - Key points

Be warned that UK degrees are tough - especially those based purely on exams such as the U of London.

I have no knowledge of entry requirements fo SA degrees.

Why not take a US degree - start with community colege courses and go from there.

If you go with a foreign degree you need a 4-year degree to enter a US graduate program without hassle (based on several people in my MSQA program from UK and SA who had 3-year program but were admitted when they produced A-level GCE results).

It is much better to take UOL. Unisa is good but the problem is trying to contact them or trying to reply is a very tiring affair.
