    Hello All,

Does anyone know of a AACSB MBA that will accept a NA BA definitively?

I was just getting ready to apply at Bellevue, but after I read there would be limitations on being able to teach at a University one day, I think I need to keep looking.

I am in a very specialized field and went to a technical college 15 years ago so my degree is NA. Every other post I read where someone asks this question, they get a response and when I go research it I find that the school in fact does not take the NA degree.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I am not sure, but I think University of Montana, University of Missouri-St. Louis, and University of Minnesota Duluth accept NA degree. For the whole list, check out CHEA's HETA. Then find the school that is AACSB accredited.

--- I found that University of Wyoming is int he list, and University of Wyoming is accredited by AACSB; as well as having a distance learning MBA.

Thank you for the info, but these lists always seem to be wrong. Here is the admissions requirements for University of Wyoming:

    Program Admission Requirements:
Admission to the Executive MBA program is competitive, and only top candidates will be considered. These requirements represent minimum applicant qualifications.

    * Bachelor's degree from an AACSB or similarly accredited institution.
    * Satisfaction of one of the following three criteria:
    1. 5 years managerial experience in a professional work environment
    2. 3 years of managerial experience in a professional work environment PLUS a GMAT score of at least 550
    3. 3-5 years of professional work experience PLUS either a grade of 'B' or better in all eight prerequisite courses OR a GMAT of at least 550
    * Three letters of recommendation, preferably from superiors or business professionals, accompanied by an official recommendation form (here) and sent to the MBA Program Office by the author of the reference
    * Detailed resume.
    * There is not a minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) requirement; however GPA may be a consideration for admission.
    * Completion of prerequisite coursework, if necessary. Students completing prerequisite courses in anticipation of entering the Executive MBA Program must earn at least a grade of ‘B' in each of these classes.
    * The GMAT is required if the applicant does not have 5 years of managerial experience in a professional work environment.
    * Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions. The MBA Program office will perform a transcript analysis once all undergraduate transcripts are received in order to determine if the applicant has fulfilled all prerequisites.
    * Attainment of these requirements does not guarantee admission.

Maybe "similarly accredited" could mean NA? I will call but I would guess not :(

No hurt in calling, but if that is what they meant I'm sure that the DL forum community would be WELL aware of it. Imagine the firestorm of excitement that would follow in this thread if, by some celestial providence, the answer to that question was YES.

In any case, I wish you the best.

Well, sometimes it is not wrong...but from time to time the institutions change their criterias. For example, Northcentral University is in the list, they used to accept NA degrees and credits; however, recently they changed their policy along with Thomas Edison State College and Excelsior College.

The best way is doing a research on the institution, once you know maybe they do accept NA. Then grasp more information from the institution. There are certain schools accept case by case basic.

Good Luck! Let us know what is the answer from the University of Wyoming.

I don't know if this is still the case, but Oklahoma State University once accepted NA bachelor degrees for admission into graduate programs, and they have an AACSB accredited online MBA program.

Not forgetting Baruch Colllege, CUNY. They are AACSB and do accept NA Bachelor Degree as well.
