I thought there might be some people interested in this. Dr. David Malan, the instructor for Harvard's 5th most popular course, CS50: Intro to Computer Science I, has opened the course to the public online. If you're interested, his Fall lectures, problem sets, quizzes and additional course material are available at This is CS50 / OpenCourseWare.

Grrrrrr......the fascist DoD network will not allow me to see the course!

Maybe I'll get back to work.

It says on that page that "If you'd like to take this course for real (on Harvard's campus or via the Internet) in order to receive feedback on work, grades, and a transcript, the course will next be offered through Harvard Extension School (as "Computer Science E-52") in Fall 2010. You can register online starting in August 2010."

You could work ahead this summer with the free materials and then rock out an A in the fall. :)
