Has anyone taken ENG314: Writing About Literature through BYU Independent Study? I am hoping to really improve my writing and literary criticism skills before starting graduate school and thought this class might work. I am looking to find out as much about it as possible, so any opinions/advice/thoughts or examples from the class would be great.

I have already seen the information posted online, such as the syllabus and information about the instructor and it looks pretty good. But I still want to really make sure it’s what I’m looking for before I pay for ANOTHER undergraduate level class (I already have a BA in English, so I don’t technically NEED it).

    Thanks in advance!

The BYU Independent Study courses tend to be well designed. BYU's program is one of the largest and most established of its kind.

I haven't taken that particular course but I have taken three BYU Independent Study courses and can vouch for their high quality.
