A unique opportunity has presented itself... I find myself caught betwixt and between: stay invovled in K-12 education vs. go back into healthcare: specifically IT. Does anyone know of an EdD program whose focus is in HIM or health education?
Yes, the Doctor of Health Education program from A.T. Still University. I did three semesters of this program. It's well designed, reasonably priced for a U.S. school, and can be done entirely online. I withdrew because I wasn't able to stay as close to my research interests as I had originally expected and because I decided to cut my overall costs by going international, but for someone asking questions like yours I'd certainly recommend it. And you can even go ahead and talk to their admissions people, as they won't give you the annoying hard sell like some schools. -=Steve=-
Steve, Thank you for the link. A.T. Still's program looks very good and might be just what the doctor ordered. Thanks!
Yes. This. As an added bonus, ATSU is currently pursuing professional accreditation for its DL DHEd (CEPH), MPH (CEPH), and MHA (CAHME) programs.
Airtorn is this true! LOL Your post made me feel so wonderful because I have been torn about applying to ATSU for an MPH because of the whole CEPH accreditation issue. (not to mention the fact that I am too old to be studying for the GRE therefore have been extremely skittish about applying to schools that require it.)
