    Hello,

I am about to graduate next month with a BS in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University. I've enjoyed the program and I would recommend the school to others looking for a similar program.

I have worked for a major pharma company for the past 10 years. As a result, I have been exposed to some very interesting basic and applied science work. I have decided that I would like to gain a foundation in science at the undergraduate level, via a 2nd bachelors degree in Biology through Excelsior College, with a goal of pursuing a masters program in Biology or Pharmacology (believe it or not, both subject may be studied via DL).

I have noticed over the past couple of years that Excelsior has really expanded their course offerings. It is now possible to complete through Excelsior almost all of the courses required for their BS in Biology. The one exception is an upper level biology course with lab. I see from one of Jennifer's earlier posts that Mountain State University previously offered an online (upper level) Genetics course with lab. However, in looking at the latest DL course offerings from MSU, I see that the genetics lab component is no longer available. Bummer.

So, I'm coming up empty here. Anyone know of an upper level (300 or 400 level) biology (or related) course that may be completed via independent study or online? I am well aware of the DL science offerings from Ocean CCC, Coastline and Rio Salado/Maricopa, however, all of these courses are lower level (100/200).

    Thanks in advance.

Harvard Extension offers several bio DL classes that you can take as grad level. The way they do it, is you pay for the level you need (undergrad, grad, no credit) and the teacher adjusts the homework according to levels. For example, as a grad student, you will have extra assignments or extra requirements within an assignment. The text and lectures are the same for all levels.
I think the bio classes are super interesting, I WISH I had a free semester to take the neurobiology course, or even the modern topics course. Anyway, EC will take grad level and allow you to use it as upper level undergrad.

    Good luck to you!

    Hi Jennifer,

Harvard sounds great, except for the price! They certainly have some interesting course offerings.
