Has anyone actually received a diploma from Kaplan? Are they authentic?

I don't know anyone who has personally received a degree from there (but I don't know anyone with a degree from lots of places). However, I have a coworker at my full time gig that teaches online for Kaplan. So they do at least provide a paycheck.

    What does authentic mean?

If you’re meaning as regards “authentic” as being ... is Kaplan accredited (?) … Yes.
“Kaplan University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA)."

Kaplan University is very authentic, accredited is I believe what you mean. They have a B&M school in Davenport, Iowa and the online University. Overall, I have heard great things about the University in general, but they are kind of expensive, otherwise a good school.

Kaplan is properly accredited. However, as another poster said, they are quite expensive. I know two people that attend Kaplan. After speaking to both of them I have to admit that I am not impressed by the rigor of the programs, but that's just my opinion.
