I am interested in an ONLINE Masters in Procurement or Purchasing (also called Acquisitions Management, Contract Management, etc). So far the only two (or two best) options are Webster University or Univ. Maryland Univ. College (UMUC). Both are close to $700 per credit which is high for me as I must pay out of pocket.

Anyone have any other suggestions or potential programs.

    Thanks and best.

If you work for the federal government (military or civilian service) or a government contractor, the Naval Postgraduate School offers an on-line MS in Contract Management (MSCM), in addition to the resident MBA in Contract Management. NPS is both AACSB and NASPAA accredited. (Full disclosure: I am on the faculty at NPS).

You may want to search the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) website for educational programs in contract management.

As a new 1102, maybe our paths will cross sometime. Perhaps I might one day become a faculty member myself...........

    Edowave,

Congrats on entering the 1102 career field! I think you will find the profession exciting, challenging, and very knowledge-intensive. My suggestion: Get as much contract management training and experience as possible. Also, pursue professional certification from NCMA. The opportunities as an 1102 are endless. Send me an email if you would like to discuss further.

This link will provide you with some schools that offer courses in contract management. Some of the courses are on-line, and some of the schools may also have degree programs as well.

You beat me to it! I had a chance to tout one of my Alma maters and you took that away from me. ;)

Thanks Dr. I appreciate the info however the 1st link only lists undergrad courses. The ISM list (I am a member) is woefully inaccurate and out of date.

    Best,
    Mike

Anything 500 or 5000 level and above are graduate credit. Some of my coworkers are getting the master's degrees with these very courses.

I stand corrected. I see the cross references to school programs now and they are almost all graduate level. Thank you.
