    Hi everyone,
I was hoping to get some direction on getting started at TESC. I was planning on trying to get a BA in Liberal Studies. I currently have 33 lower level credits from military training, 27 FEMA credits and two courses for ALEKS (beginning algebra and intermediate algebra) each worth 3 credits. My question is what is the fastest way to continue on from here?

    Thanks,
    Jim

The fastest way to continue is CLEP/DANTES.

  3. Sounds like your biggest hurdle will be obtaining your upper-level credits. If you are looking to exam your way out of those, there are several DSST exams that are UL and inexpensive. There are also ECEs which are mostly upper level. They are more expensive than other exams but less expensive than most classes.

If you are looking for a big wallop of credit: did you take a foreign language in HS, or do you know one? The CLEP lanuage exams are 6 or 12 credits each, depending on your score. Also, there are several ACE approved language proficiency exams which could also fill credit gaps.

I have never used ALEKS, but since they are self-paced, I'm sure you have considered banging a few more of those out. Seems like a good idea to me.
