    Hello all,

I am in my last semester at Excelsior and I plan on enrolling into a Master of Accountancy in the Fall 2010. I have been looking at U of Phoenix’s program although they are expensive, but also well-known. I am looking to become a CPA and while I know I could go for the LSU accounting certificate to accomplish this, I really want the masters’ degree so that I can have the option of teaching as well.

I would like to take a few courses this summer (graduate) that I can transfer into my program but I don’t want to take them at the school itself because they are over $600 per credit and I wouldn’t be able to use financial aid.

What I really would like is something like LSU has where you can pay per class and it is independent study. Are there any schools out there that offer independent study accounting graduate courses?

I know it probably a lot to ask but I figured it was worth a shot.

    Thanks,
    Nichole

Golden Gate University: MAc in Accountancy
University of Tulsa: Master of Taxation

There are many available online MBA’s with accounting concentrations. Also, several Australian universities offer the MAc via DL.
