    Northeastern University www.neu.edu offers an online BS in History . At $310/hr ., this 160-hr . program costs $49,600. They are accredited by the New England Association.

    The advantage of these colleges, as with COSC , is that you can earn your credits at any regionally accredited college or university.

    If you do move to California the community colleges there offer courses for around $24 per semester unit for California residents (with more than one years residency in CA as I recall).

    This cost can be reduced significantly by taking courses at lower cost colleges across the USA and by taking CLEP and DSST exams.

    COSC and Excelsior will also except close to 100% of credits earned elswhere.

    In addition most USA colleges mentioned by Ted will accept up 75% of credits earned at other colleges.
