Can anybody tell me about The Warnborough University in UK? Is it a government recognised or accredited U? What about the DBA program there? Is there anybody having the experience with it?

No. This isn't a university, it is a business posing as one.

Here is what I found posted on another thread regarding Warnborough:

    > I am sorry but Warnborough University is a degree mill to be avoided at
all costs. A simple search of usenet AED using "Warnborough University"
yields all the information needed including the following article from
    Oxford University newspaper.

I e-mailed the above to Warnborough, following is the response I received:

If you check out our websites www.warnborough.edu www.warnborough.ac.uk and
www.ccbt.co.uk you will get a full picture of Warnborough, our facilities
    and programmes.

The article is misleading. Warnborough did not close down, nor did it owe
money, nor did the President vanish, etc. You will see our official
responses to this article and to the misinformation being promoted by this
newsgroup if you check their website.

A degree mill sells degrees, and there is no evidence of this ever with
Warnborough. Can anyone produce this evidence? Our degree programmes take as
long as any other UK university and all thesis/dissertations are externally
examined by examiners at British Universities. You will see our list of
mentors on our website. We also prepare students for official examinations
    in the UK.

    WHAT TO MAKE OF IT?

  4. Caveat emptor.

Incidentally, when I googled Warnborough I came across the etymology of the name. It seems that the name derives from "Weargebuman," from the Saxon for "felon stream" -- i.e. "the stream where felons are drowned."

The graduate mentors have doctorates from well-respected schools -- some from US like Union and George Washington U. The UK doctorates are from univs that are on many lists of legitimate international univs that offer distance learning. Is this for real or not?

  7. Warnborough is NOT part of the UK tertiary education system. It's a for-profit organization incorporated in Ireland (but NOT part of the Irish education system) and based in England. Is it a degree mill operation, or is it a business akin to Corinthian Colleges in the US? I don't know, but I surely wouldn't advise anyone to get a degree through them under any circumstances.

Incidentally, I was interested to see the capitalization in Julian NG's name. I had seen this before and assumed it was a typo. But apparently this is indeed the way he writes it.
