Has anyone participated in an RN to BSN program via the DL??? I am so afraid they may be a scam, or at least some of them may be.

Anyone ever heard of "University Alliance"??? Supposedly they are are involved with a few universities/colleges. However, if you go directly to the universities web site, there is no mention that hey are involved in a DL program with "University Alliance" . This just doesn't seem Kosher!

Anyone with any info please leave your comments for they will be greatly appreciated.

    Thnanks!!!

Fort Hayes State University and a multitude of other RA schools offer the RN to BSN. Also, most of the South Africa and Aust. schools offer the program. I would not go for any school that was not RA or equilavent.

Thanks for your reply! Went to that site and this one actually seems to be on of the legitimate promgras.

What I am getting from this university alliance is that when I go to the individual colleges that are supposedly part of their consortium, there is no mention of their affiliation. Yes, you can look up their regional accredidation and their accreditation with the national league for nursing and they are legitimate, but the web address and actual address for the alliance and these colleges completely differ. My husband thinks if it is too good to be true then it probably is a scam/diploma mill.

What other means are out their for me to verify their legitimacy?

    Thanks!

I am almost done with the excelsior college BSN program. The program is RA and is also accredited by NLN. It is independent study and you advance at your own pace. Go to WWW.Excelsior.edu.

Of note regarding the Excelsior bursing program. It is the largest accredited Nursing program in the US. The RN-BSN program information can be found at: http://www.excelsior.edu/nur_home.htm or else just click on the Nursing link from the main page provided by Bancho.

My mother did an RN --> BS (liberal arts) program through the school now called Excelsior College, which also offers a properly accredited BSN.

    Good luck!

Also check California State University, Dominguez Hills (http://dominguezonline.csudh.edu/programs.htm) for both BS & MS.
