University of Houston – Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management: “The Hilton College is consistently rated as one of the top hospitality programs in the world. The Hilton College offers two graduate degree plans—a two-year Master of Science in Hospitality Management and a three-year Joint Master’s Program in which students can earn an MS and an MBA (AACSB) concurrently. Students work and learn in a $28.8 million complex that includes the 86-room Hilton University of Houston Hotel, a 40,000 square-foot conference center, two full-service restaurants, three ballrooms, banquet facilities, a wine cellar and numerous labs and test kitchens.”

Moreover, an online Master of Hospitality Management (MHM) is offered.

Maybe worth mentioning: Quite a few Certificates of eCornell are run through their School of Hotel Administration. Unfortunately to my knowledge no Master Degrees are offered.

    Not sure?

Not to speak for this poster, but for MOST people, the hospitality and restaurant management (ie Cornell, UNLV, Houston, etc) will differ significantly from a degree in Hospitality and Tourism. These folks are more focused on tourism and travel. Subsets include recreation, ecotourism, community recreation, travel and tourism bureau type jobs.

Hospitality when linked to the word hotel is generally the food and lodging industry. These are GM types, Food and Beverage Directors, Club Managers, etc. These are people in the service industry- restaurants, hotels, country clubs, etc.

So- I'm not 100% sure which degree the poster is looking for. IL's program is fully online and absolutely hospitality as it relates to tourism. If that's the track he wants, my thread from before won't really help him. I'm type 2. lol
