If anyone is thinking about taking some classes through Stonebridge College I hope you change your mind. I completed two Diploma's through the college
    1. Supervisory Management and 2. Change Management. Both diploma's are fully paid for and completed and now they refuse to send me my diploma's.
When I contact the school a represenative from the school keeps using the excuse it's lost in the mail. For two months now it's been lost in the mail.
What's confusing is that the classes were enjoyable. Now that it's completed they refuse to issue the diploma's. Extremely Poor Customer Service and if I don't recieve the diploma's it's also a Scam ! If anything changes I will update but in the mean time I'd stay away from Stonebridge College. 2010

I do not know anything about Stonebridge but I note that their home page makes this interesting claim:
Once you have completed your home learning course, you will receive a recognised qualification and your Professionally Recognised Stonebridge Diploma, which is guaranteed to open a new set of doors for you.

I'm sorry for your troubles. It's clear that they haven't given you what you want but have they responded in any way? Can you say more about "extremely poor customer service?"

They didn't mention that this door opening will be accomplished by beating your head against it trying to get your diplomas. :)

    Stonebridge College 2010 example.

This is in responce to Kizmet's question about my comment of Poor Customer Service. Here is one example.

When I finished my diploma in Change Management the college sent me out, and I received, a certificate of completion. I didn't take this class to earn a certificate, I took the longer course to earn a diploma. I contacted the college and they made it sound as if it was my fault ??? Ok so how do we correct this. I was told I had to return the certificate before they would send me out the correct diploma. Ok I sent it to them through the mail. That was almost a month ago, I still haven't recieved my diploma. I contacted them again and asked about my diploma here is their response.

    "Tom.
We have not received anything from you - I strongly suggest you take your problem up with your mail service as clearly they are letting you down - to try and hold us responsible for their errors is rediculous.

    Mr. Steele "

During my assignments with Stonebridge College I have mailed in over 20 assignments without any problems. Now that I'm done they send me the wrong document of completion a certificate instead of the diploma that I earned and paid for and they are blaming the post office for a mistake they clearly made.
I am on the last assignment to complete my diploma in Supervisory Management and I have sent the assignment in twice and each time Mr. Steele claims he never recieved it " must be lost in the mail". Again all of a sudden things are getting lost. I asked if it was the postal service mistake that I recieved a certificate in place of a diploma. All I get is a run around.
Today I faxed in my last assignment. Now it's wait and see what happens.

Does this sound like good customer service ?
My purpose here is to help someone else before they make the same mistake I did.

Some of Stonebridge's courses are recognized by organizations like the NCFE in the UK, which is a legitimate organization for UK qualifications and awards. See: www.ncfe.org.uk

Other courses are not recognized. Based on what I have read, it appears that Stonebridge is a vocational/career college offering diplomas - and not degrees. Nonetheless, it's a good idea for prospective students to research which courses are recognized in the UK, and which ones are not.

Perhaps your next move is to write to the NCFE ("where service matters") and let them know your problems.

I agree that Stonebridge appears to be a vocational training colege. But the quotation I used above does sound millish.

Incidentally I mail to and from the UK a lot and have never had anything lost - mail from the UK to Palm Springs, CA arrives in two to three days usually (we are always surprised by this short time span).

Since the error was on their part by sending you the wrong credential, they should replace it with no questions asked. In my view, that is not the way to treat students who have worked hard to complete their studies and met all of their financial obligations.

What I suggest is that you contact a solicitor in Stonebridge's jurisdiction, which would be in Bude. Ask the solicitor to contact them and ask for the credentials you earned, along with the official transcripts.

Check this for my experience with Stonebridge Associated College.

I advice you to send a formal complaint to their accrediation partners, and see how they will start behaving properly with you. You will get as many copies of the certificates you need.

They are not scam. Actually it seems they save the cost of their printing and post. This makes them a little bit weird

Ian Anderson is right. Contact NCFE and they will be very supportive. I contact them when i had problems with Stonebridge, and the issue was solved in 24 hours.

    Tom:

The following two law firms are situated in Bude, UK. Perhaps one of them can contact Stonebridge and obtain your documents. Provide them with your name, student ID number and contact information. Briefly describe the facts and what credentials you have not received. You should also provide them with copies of your payment to Stonebridge, along with evidence that you successfully completed the courses.

Good point, provided the courses Tom enrolled in are in fact NCFE recognized, as not all of Stonebridge's courses are.

    Stonebridge College 2010 example.

Thank you for all your input. I contacted NCFE, I will give you an update if something happens.

One of your courses, Change Management, is covered under the NCFE. The other, Supervisory Management, is not. On the first one, you should receive a diploma for the completion of the course, along with a NCFE award certificate.

    Hope it all works out.
