If a nationally accredited degree (DETC) will work for you, AJU charges $95/credit for grad credits ... http://www.aju.edu/Admissions/admis_tuition.asp They offer a MSc in Criminal Justice which is 36 credits so that works out to $3,420 (plus fees and textbooks and so on) ... or an MBA, if that will work: http://www.aju.edu/Programs/programs_main.asp I'll also ask the question that someone else will ask if I don't: Why do you want the degree? (What do you want to use it for?)
Do you want an MS in Distance Learning or an MS via Distance Learning? Here is an MA that can be had for around $6,000 at current prices: http://www.wnmu.edu/VirtualCampus/InterdisciplinaryMasters.htm
Why is it that the majority of the DETC schools have crappy websites?! You would think that schools with 100% distance learning programs would place more emphasis on site design! Here is a good example of a cheese-ball graphic from the AJU website (used on the MBA home page): http://www.aju.edu/images/btc/gradComputer.jpg Come on now! Really? Does the student sit at his computer with a graduation cap? Besides how rediculous this looks, it also doesn't make any sense, since you don't get the cap until AFTER you graduate!!!
Wow, so AJU dropped lowered their graduate tuition from $300/credit (source: AJU 2009 catalog, pg. 12) to $95/credit??? Cheesy website or not, at this price point I might have to pull the trigger on one of their masters programs.
Totally agree about their terrible website. I was surprised when I checked their current tuition rates recently, but after getting rid of their "sponsored tuition" program recently I guess they decided to lower their rates to maintain price as their competitive edge over other programs.
look close: "There is a semester fee of $400 for the administrative costs of the semester. Students can take up to three courses each semester. A $30 per course proctor fee is charged to cover administration of examinations." so if you add the costs it works out to $745 for the first course for graduate classes. If you take more classes then the cost per course will go down. So the best deal is to take 3 courses. Which is a sizeable load for a DL student.
Ah good catch, sorry I should have read closer, still relatively cheap but nowhere near the "amazing deal" price point unless a person wanted to do 3 or more classes per semester.
