    Members,

Given the recent discussions about securing online teaching positions, I came across this survey that highlights salaries of online instructors across different educational platforms.

It is my hope, that the information will answer alot of questions, regarding the amount of time effort, and expectations required to becoming a online instructor.

Thanks. Very interesting to see the Payment by School. It's a shame that the sample (of 61) is so small, which limits the external validity of the research.

Dave Wagner, before you dropped out of your doctoral program, what was your research going to be on? :)

I don't think he dropped out. I think he finished his PhD from TUI.

Wonderful study, even if the results aren't generalizable, it is still quite useful to see what schools are paying. The salary comparision would have been even more useful if the length of time for a class was specified (e.g. 5-6 week half-quarter, 11 week quarter, 15-16 week semester).

Thank you, Hortonka, for sharing this. This type of activity is part of what makes Degreeinfo a valuable resource for those of us whose career is distance learning.
