    Hello,
Could you please help me find a course (Credit or non-credit depending on the cost) that focuses mainly or entirely on learning how to read and write arabic?
Thank you very much & Happy new year

    Hi Pilot! :)

First thing you will need to decide is which Arabic :D you wish to learn, Classical / Modern Standard Arabic (literary) or some of the Arabic spoken dialects - Egyptian, Levantine / Eastern (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Israel), Hijazi / Saudi etc.

Namely, situation with Arabic is a clear example of diglossia whereby a population uses two languages / registers, one in literature and formal speech, and another in colloqiual speech.

Would Rosetta Stone fit your needs? It would be for non-credit of course, but they offer thorough language programs.

Aha, I understand, In that case I'd recommend the Medina Arabic course you will find above (the first two links), if I remember collectly, I used the very same course in high-school.

    Ma3a 's-salaam. :)

As you requested, dear sir. :)

Free, university level (Högskolan Dalarna, Sweden), for credit, DL. It's 15 ECTS, that's like two regular semester classes in one.
