    Hi Everyone!

The Post 9/11 GI Bill doesn't give BAH for distance learning students; however, if you take on class on ground campus you'll recieve BAH. I am wondering if anybody in here knows or has successful using Post 9/11 GI Bill w/ BAH via distance learning.

    Thanks in advance!

I thought you also had to be attending school full-time? I'll see if I can find the PowerPoint presentation the AF put out on this...

One of the Capt's in my old unit is getting her Masters in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. I'll check with her and find out if she is getting BAH, AFAIK she was one of the first people to use it a GU.

I'm still exhausting my Chapter 30, but a few friends of mine are using Chapter 33. I don't know anyone doing solely distance learning under chapter 33, but I do know some taking distance classes along with their classes and getting the BAH. I believe all classes must count toward the degree or chapter 33 won't pay for them, though. There was some delays in processing their BAH, too. I guess the mad dash in August backed up the system.

One of my friends is a research assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in their EE department, and he's getting a salary from that along with BAH while finishing his MSEE. Plus he's saving the VA money since he's getting tuition waived. Good deal if you can get it!
