    Accepted where? For what purpose?

If you mean for attending further school in Eurpoe, it will depend on the particular school. Contact the EU school(s) you're interested in and ask them.

If you mean for jobs, again it'll likely depend. Employers will probably "accept" it as being a legitimate degree, but may consider it a lesser degree than one that is RA in the USA or an EU university degree.

(I have no personal experience with either of the above so consider it opinion / speculation :))

the purpose is for further education. Today i talked to the university and their response was: we accept any foreign degree as long as the ministry of education of that (foreign) country accepts it as a valid/legitimate degree. so if the US ministry of education accepts a DETC accredited degree as legitimate they accept it. what does the US ministry of education think about degrees from a DETC accreditated college?
    tnx

From the US Department of Education website.

Distance Education and Training Council, Accrediting Commission
    1959/2007/F2011
Scope of recognition: the accreditation of postsecondary institutions in the United States that offer degree programs primarily by the distance education method up to and including the professional doctoral degree, and are specifically certified by the agency as accredited for Title IV purposes; and for the accreditation of postsecondary institutions in the United States not participating in Title IV that offer programs primarily by the distance education method up through the professional doctoral degrees.
Title IV Note: Only accredited institutions that are certified by the agency as accredited for Title IV purposes may use accreditation by this agency to establish eligibility to participate in Title IV programs..

So if I read this correctly I think you'll be fine.

The website www.studera.nu has a page about the entry requirements for Swedish postgraduate studies. (https://www.studera.nu/studera/1662.html) Quote: To meet the entry requirements for second cycle (postgraduate/Master's) studies, you must:
have been awarded a Bachelor's degree (equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen) from an internationally recognised university. The HEI must be listed in the latest edition of the International Handbook of Universities.

All universities in the International Handbook of Universities are of course also accepted by the ministry of education of their country of origin, and yes, Ashworth college is listed in that Handbook. I'm quite sure that a degree from Ashworth will be accepted.

I have number of friends with degrees from DETC accredited universities and colleges.

One has Aspen University degree, he was requested in UK to have it evaluated by NARIC UK.

It was found to be equivalent to UK 4 year (Hons) BSc degree.
Many universities and professional institutions require NARIC compatibility report.
