I was thinking about going to the college of the rockies. I have just got done wtih 2 PhD classes at Walden and I was about change to Rockies next week. But I think that I need Decmber to just rest so that would be 3 classes this term.

But I think that I am just going to take this time to rest.

But I am just so scared. Every choice I make will live with me for the rest of my life. So something like this is very hard for me to do. Just change in the mid idea .

Don't put so much pressure on yourself. As far as, "Every choice I make will live with me for the rest of my life." think of it as it will only be with you until you make another choice.

    Take a break and reevaluate.

Well said Randell. We should put that quote in a Hallmark Card :)

The only really bad choices you make in life are things like doing drugs or becoming a criminal. I'm perhaps one of the older (in age) members of this forum and I have made hundreds of poor choices and hundreds of good choices in my life - I learned lots from my poor choices and enjoyed the results of my good choices.

There is a saying in engineering: "Someone who never made a mistake never made anything" - believe me it is true and I think it applies to all areas of life.

Best wishes for your future - you will survive and do well.

And depending on your world view, not even drugs have to be a bad choice (that's NOT what I'll tell my kids - I love double standards ;)).

If in doubt, always take it slow. Remember that the primary goal of taking classes is education, not just a bunch of credit points. You will learn much more if the classes are a positive experience for you.

Why are you going to school in the first place? Personal satisfaction? Career change? Career advancement? Time off, IMHO, is always a good thing.

    Good luck.
