    All,

I always come here and receive the best advice. My girlfriend is a RN. I'm trying to help her find the cheapest, accredited, and accelerated program out there for RN to BSN.

The cost (Long-term) piece is the most important but please don't hold back with any advice on any and all programs available.

The University of Wisconsin - Green Bay offers a 1-year RN to BSN degree via online delivery.

"Welcome to BSN-LINC, the national online track of the Professional Program in Nursing at UW-Green Bay. Our program specializes in RN to BSN education. We recognize that completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing can open doors to new professional opportunities and create personal satisfaction for nurses. Employers want nurses prepared at the highest levels possible so that they are equipped to deal with the complexities of healthcare in the 21st century."

That University of Wisconsin - Green Bay program is VERY nice...but you have to already have a BS in another field to qualify. It was designed as a way for people who want to transition from one career into nursing.

You are mistaken. This particular program is for RNs with a diploma or associates degree in nursing.

Perhaps so. Upon further research it appears the program I was thinking of is offered through University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.

If your girlfriend is already a Registered Nurse, then a BSN program will give a great impetus to her career. In that sense, she has made the right decision to pursue an advanced degree in nursing. Why don’t you take a look at the Bachelor of Science Nursing degree offered by the Independence University? The tuition fee at IU is lower than many private colleges and they also offer scholarships and grants based on academic performance and special needs. The university is accredited by Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) and has been delivering quality education for more than 30 years.
