Hans: You (or Steve using the same UserName) asked this same question recently in another thread entitled Ratchford University. I can still find no trace of this institution. There are registered domain names ratchford.org, ratchford.com, but they don't seem to be actively used. What do you know about Ratchford University?
Hi Thanks for your anwer. Yes Steve and I we use the same UserName. Somebody offert me an degree from this university but I have only the name and nothing else. Thanks Hans
What kind of degree are you looking for, Steve/Hans? "Ratchford University" does not exactly seem ready for students, based on their website (started 5 Dec.) The link to the catalog of courses is not available. There is no accreditation statement. I think that this is a legitimate new school (or renamed school). One easily identified name in the web pages is that of Jaynn Tobias-Johnson of the Continuing Education department at Judson College (in Illinois, but not too far from Ratchford University in North Olmsted, Ohio). In fact, if you look at the Judson"]http://www.judsononline.org/]Judson College Online[/url] web site, you’ll see that it’s almost identical to Ratchford’s.

University of Maryland Univ. College (www.umuc.edu) has one. Borrowing from a thread in the "IT and computer-related degrees" forum: Excelsior college, New York: http://www.excelsior.edu Thomas Edison State College, New Jersey: http://www.tesc.edu Charter Oak State College, Connecticut: http://www.cosc.edu You might want to post in that forum; they might have some other opportunities. (I think that Touro and Univ. of Phoenix have one too.)
NB: Some material - mainly HTML mark-up -- edited for formatting purposes only. Ratchford is the product of the folks over at http://www.professionaldegrees.com/index.htm A PhD for $250 (Sadly, we've missed their special offer: Master's or higher for the price of a bachelor's!) Their website reads: I did. Their reply is below:
Interesting. So I wonder about the connection with Judson College? The Ratchford University website is almost identical to that of Judson Online -- to the extent that several of the names in the Ratchford University pages are listed in the Judson College staff directory. I e-mailed several of these people at Judson College yesterday morning to ask what's going on.
Don't be surprised if the folks at Judson don't have a clue. The Ratchford folks may have copied the Judson website and are using it as a template; they might not have cleaned up all the artifacts from Judson.
I agree with Bill -- I reckon they just copied a lesser-known institution's template; indeed, the whole thing seems to be designed to survive a superficial -- but only a superficial -- investigation. jmbp
