Okay, I've never seen this school mentioned before on the board.

On my ongoing (seemingly never-ending) search for my MBA program, I think I just found the winner.

FIU- Florida International University. AACSB accredited, state school with an excellent reputation and a growing brand for itself, 100% online with no residency too and NO GMAT REQUIRED as well. How has no one seen this before????

Tuition is a little steep though, 42K for the 18 month program, even for Florida residents like myself. That seems outrageous to me, cause if I did a traditional program, it would cost about less than half of that. Still, FIU is a very good school and is growing more prestigous what seems to be yearly. I think have found my school....check it out and let me know your thoughts on the program.......

I've never had a problem with standardized testing so I'd rather take the GMAT (don't be ascared of a little test) and save a pile of money.

I would say that you've come across a very expensive school. The school isn't regionally accredited and that's what is crucial to have your degree accepted.

    TEKMAN Semper Fi!

I saw many ads on Facebook while playing Farmville. It states that Military members can get $20,000.00 scholarship from them. So, the price is $22K, but I still think it is expensive for FIU.

FIU is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Yes, I would also say they are very expensive but in addition to being regionally accreditied, they are AACSB.

It's not taking the no-GMAT requirement that entices me to go there, I don
t foresee a problem with the GMAT, I was simply listing benefits of the program in the post, thats all .....Its the 100% online format from a state school that is the biggest thing. There is no doubt that UF is a kick-ass school and one of the best in the whole country. I would actually love to go there to be honest, but it would not work for me because of the campus visits. I live about 4 hours from there, so the trip a few times a year may not seem like a lot, but it is. 5 times for the one-year, an 8 times for the two-year. They are overnights so a hotel stay is also required.

The cost of that program is 36K, not that much more than FIU's 42k. Add the time, gas, hotel stays, and food and it would be 42K very quickly. UF is one cheapest in the country when you go on campus, 36K sounds outrageous to me too. I don't know why these FL state schools charge exponentially more than their on campus programs. I presume it is to attract out-of-state students, in UF's case from AL and GA to apply and to have less confusion as well as far as the price.

The program itself is great, minus the on-campus requirement. My undergrad GPA was a 3.6, so I do have options. Thanks for the replies!!!
