Just an FYI for everyone, as of April 2010 classes, the grad tuition will go up to $300/credit. The undergrad stays the same.

Here's the little announcement they made:

"Graduate Tuition Increase for April 2010 Courses
Tuition for all GRADUATE level courses will be $300 per credit hour for courses that start in April 2010. Undergraduate tuition will remain the same. Please click here for detailed information on the change. If you are a recipient of a Federal Direct Student Loan and you are concerned that you do not have enough financial aid resources to cover this nominal increase, please contact Financial Aid Services at [email protected] or (877) 468-6268 ext. 3630."

Dangit... that pushes the cost of my Master's over $10K. :(

Oh well, knew it was gonna happen eventually.

    That is rather unfortunate.

Yeah it'll be about $10,700 for me since I locked in 2 classes at the old price. Still not bad, but I hope it doesn't creep up again in the next 2 years by the time I finish :(

$25 per hour is not a bad increase; APUS/AMU is still a rather affordable masters.

South University raises their tuition every year by $40-50 bucks per unit. What was to cost me around 17K when I started the program, will now end up costing me closer to 21K.

Based on price, I would still pick AMU for a second masters degree.

I understand; I never said it was a large increase or that I was quitting the program. However I have two kids under two and I’m self-pay, so every bit of an increase (even an $800 one) is still a negative to me.
Plus, I don’t have a choice. Every other school with a Public History/Museology degree is much more expensive. Next closest is U of Leicester, which is about $14k, and it doesn’t have but one class on Historical Preservation.

Whew, missed that one by the skin of my teeth! Last class finishes up next month and then I'm on to Comps.

Now, where to go for that second Masters?

Guys....that is still cheap. Sheesh. UH..1100 dollars per course at the doctoral level. It will go up again next year.
