I am a newbie. This is a great forum with a lot of good information. I have been “browsing” for a while. I have a BA in Economics & MBA from a B&M university. I am currently finishing up my accounting requirements to sit for the CPA exam.

I have taken the courses at a local CC. If I had enrolled at a B&M school, the courses taken would have led me to a Masters in Accounting. Obviously, cost is a constraining factor. After reading through the forum, I am wondering if an accredited DL school will let me transfer the following courses into a Masters in Accounting.

The courses that I have taken are as follows:
    Grad School
    Financial Accounting
    Accounting theory
    CC Courses
    Managerial Accounting
    Cost Accounting
    Intermediate Accounting I
    Intermediate Accounting II
    Tax Accounting I
    Auditing
    Accounting w/ Microcomputers
    Government & Non Profit Accounting
    LSU Enrollment
    Fraud Auditing
    Advanced Accounting

All suggestions are welcome. Thank You.

For the CC and LSU credits I would say probably not. For the grad credits...maybe. It really just depends on the school. Do you have a particular school in mind?

The CC and LSU credit will probably meet prerequisite requirements before entering a masters program.

Check out the MS Accounting at Liberty University (liberty.edu). It is 30 units and you can transfer in up to six units.
