Does there exist a comprehensive list of all DL schools and their per-credit cost? I am interested in undergrad but others might want grad. Looking for something not too outdated. I found this old thread and nothing else. http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=3497 (Would be even more ideal if it showed enrollment fees, etc.)
GetEducated.com has some lists, but they're mostly for Masters programs. They do have three for bachelor's: Business & Management Justice Studies Psychology, Human Services Like Ted said, you'd have to let us know your intended major before we could give further suggestions.
Oh, a custom list for me? If you can help that would be great. My major ideal is some kind where I "create my own", but if not, then Biology. My main requirement is right now I'm just seeing what good name recognition schools there are that aren't too expensive. I know of just a couple so far. I only want ones that have B&M presence, good rep. I planned to ignore anything over $300/credit, and probably not go with anything over $250/credit either, but I wanted to at least see what was there. I don't want anything requiring over 30 credits in residence. They have to take ECE and CLEP (and/or DANTES).
Hi excel, To help you it would be nice to know in what state (or country) do you reside, and what is you career plan? Then a degree cost could be estimated. Degree costs can vary enormously depending on where you live - for example in California lower division community college courses are $26 per semester unit for residents. I believe degrees from the big three, especialy Excelsior, are the most flexible in content. For example my Excelsior degree has never been questioned by business or academia; it contains courses from many US universities & colleges plus a bunch of engineering units from the UK.
Our old friend Lawrie Miller has done a good job with this. His list may not be comprehensive but it's a very nice start: http://bain4weeks.com/mastermenu.html Part of the problem is that there are now so many programs it would take a lot of time to make a comprehensive list. The other part of the problem is that costs change without notice and so any list would probably be somewhat inaccurate before it was even completed. It's like those guys who paint those huge bridges; by the time they finish it's time to start again back at the beginning.
