A survey recently compiled by John Bear seems to indicate some acceptance of degrees from nationally accredited schools. I checked with a few schools recently in support of an article I penned (at www.degree.net ); only one said they would consider it (Capella). The rest were adament in their refusal, too. Now we hear Liberty is open to them. Finally, I spoke with the Argosy recently on another matter. Their representative said Argosy would consider graduates of DETC-accredited schools, perhaps with further qualification (such as a GRE or GMAT score).

Based on responses from the 300+ registrars I surveyed, the answer would seem to be that 20% find DETC generally acceptable, 10% conditionally acceptable, 9% occasionally acceptable -- but, and this changes things somewhat -- 17% responded "don't know, not sure, or no policy." And 44% said no.
