I've been searching all over the net for affordable masters degrees and one of best I've seen is Western New Mexico State (thanks to this site). After doing some more research on them, I'm leaning in that direction as it looks like a good school. Basically I'm trying to find an online, RA, masters degree for the Military T/A rate of $250 per hour or less. I'm looking in the Criminal Justice field or something similar....like Public Administration. Does anyone know of any type of programs? I'm not trying to be picky, just trying to avoid more debt than I already have!
Hi Sean - Our old friend Lawrie Miller has a page on his website that might be helpful to you. Take a look: http://bain4weeks.com/mastermenu.html
Sean, have you checked GetEducated's list? There are some inexpensive programs listed there: http://www.geteducated.com/online-college-ratings-and-rankings/best-buy-lists/best-buy-master-criminal-justice They have a list for public admin too but it's much shorter! http://www.geteducated.com/online-college-ratings-and-rankings/best-buy-lists/best-buy-master-of-public-administration-and-master-of-public-affairs A quick Google search revealed Saint Leo University's Master of Science in Criminal Justice, the tuition for military is $250/credit: http://www.saintleo.com/Graduate/Criminal-Justice.aspx http://www.saintleo.com/Military/FinancialAid/Tuition-and-Fees.aspx
Thank you for the links and tips. I need to check to see if Saint Leo's pricing includes their Masters program. I must have missed that one and I've been to 100's of school sites! I found another in New Mexico (I'm on the East Coast mind you) and it's New Mexico State. Their credit hour and tech fee puts them just under the $250 limit. http://www.nmsu.edu/~crimjust/Online_CJ/Online_MCJ/index.html
