Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I want to know which online school is the most recognize for a Business Degree?
I recently closed down my business after 6 +yrs. I have great experience with operations,p&l,forecasting, budeting etc. But I don't have a degree to back it up and with the competition out there,I think it's a good time to get a degree.

Any thoughts or ideas would be great, Thanks!

Hi Aaron - Welcome to degreeinfo. I assume you're referring to Bachelors degree programs. I think that there's a lot of subjectivity involved in that judgement. Some schools enjoy excellent local reputations but are virtually unknown in other parts of the country. Some schools are widely known but have very rigid delivery systems that don't allow for much testing out or accelerated courses. I think that on the Bachelors level most people tend to look at the delivery method and the CLEP/DANTE options as well as the costs. With all your experience you could save a lot of time by testing out of courses and applying the credits to one of the big 3. Read through this site

I think you're likely going to get some varied opinions on this. I'd say the big "name brand" schools would include UMass, Illinois, Cal Sate, etc. However, I am going to assume that since you had your own business for 6 years that you are an adult, approaching 30 if not already past it. If that's the case, I would not focus so much on name recognition as I would cost, expediency, and a program that you think you might enjoy. I have yet to see where distance degrees earned at flagship universities (by working adults) are anymore beneficial than those degrees earned at lesser known schools. I think you will find more utility if you earn your degree from either a well known school that is local to you, or from any reputable program that also has a known campus presence.
