I need to have the web site address that gives the entire history of a web site. In example, when a web site started, what it looked like throughout its history, etc. I know that people have posted it before, but forgot the web address to get the information (research). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The Wayback Machine at Internet Archives is the only one I know about but there may be others. Here it is: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
Archive.org is the best source that I'm aware of ... depending on what information you're looking for, Domaintools might be helpful as well: http://whois.domaintools.com/ For example, say you wanted to know about CMich.edu's site: http://domain-history.domaintools.com/?q=cmich.edu&page=results It gives you the usual WHOIS info, plus other details about their website/domain. If you look in the sidebar on the right, you can click "View Thumbnail History" to see screenshots of how the site used to look. If you're willing to pay some fees, you can even access old WHOIS records to see who used to own the domain, see what other domains the same registrant owns, etc.
