    Hello DI,

I received the following email from Northcentral University today in regards to Title IV, if anyone is interested.

    Dear Mr. jek2839

I noticed that you had started the Admission process with NCU but decided against it.

I wanted to follow up with you to see if you may be interested in continuing in learning how NCU has changed since you last spoke to us.

We now offer Title IV Funding through the federal government.

We also have three internal scholarships for our military, professional educators and government employees.

I am available to answer your questions and discuss how a program at NCU might work specifically for you. In order to best assist you we will need to discuss your educational background and what you feel you will need as a student to be successful here at NCU.

Please contact me soon. I look forward to hearing from you.

This explains the outlandish tuition fee increases despite being a competely virtual university, not counting the luxurious administration campus in Arizona.
Despite the excellent DIS/RSH related courses offered by NCU to guide students through the dissertation process the cost of an NCU doctorate provides very low ROI.

I received the same message even though I have not contacted them since I withdrew from their Ph.D. program several years ago after completing one course.

Before NCU received regional accreditation, their tuition was dirt cheap, similar to schools that are nationally accredited. Then when they achieved regional accreditation, their tuition rates began to climb... and climb... and climb. It's been a slow climb, but a climb nonetheless. I knew that after they achieved RA status that they would eventually become as expensive as all the other RA online colleges and universities, such as Walden, Argosy and all the rest. NCU is still a tad bit cheaper, but not by much. I jumped on the NCU bandwagon before it became unaffordable for the common man. I could never afford their prices now. My ROI paid itself off in the first year of graduation, but with the high tuition rates of today, it would take significantly longer for a ROI.
