Hey guys I was checking the list of Aleks statistics classes approved by ACE and they are all recommended as upper level. Anybody has had experience transferring them to one of the big 3 and having them count as upper level?
have they been counted as duplicated credit? thank you for your help!

No, that's an error on the web site or you are mistaken. Here is how TESC will transcript ALEKS classes:

    001 Beginning Algebra- MAT102
    002 Intermediate Algebra- MAT115
    003 College Algebra- MAT121
004 College Algebra with Trig- MAT121*
    005 PreCal- MAT129
    006 Trig- (not yet evaluated)
    007 Intro Stats- STA201
    008 Business Stats- OPM351
009 Stats for Beh. Science- STA199

*this was transcripted for someone as MAT121, but I suspect this is an error and will have a diff. number once a second (or third) person asks for evaluation.

What is worth pointing out, is that TESC will take ALL OF THE ALEKS classes without duplication, so if your skill set is somewhere around precal, you can go ahead and start at 001 and get them all.

Wow that sounds awesome! I have taken Calculus in college waaay back about 15 years ago. I just completed College Algebra with PF and got a B.
Its great knowing I can get so many credits to use at TESC with ALEKS.

How long it takes to complete an ALEKS course? How many exams or problems you need to solve until you get credit for the classes? The idea sounds really interesting up to 27 credits. Not bad at all.
