All, Does anyone know of a good school (B&M with online component) or online school with degree programs in higher education or organizational leadership? Thanks,
Ph.D in Organizational Leadership RA Eastern University in St. Davids, PA has a hybrid Ph.D in Organizational Leadership that you might like. A friend of mine is about half way through the program. http://www.eastern.edu/academic/ccgps/oip/index.html Tom
There are quite a number, since the majority of schools that claim to have these "online" programs are really hybrid programs that require seat-in-the-butt or multiple on-campus physical presence (residency) requirements. Among the ones are Capella (www.capella.edu), Walden (www.waldenu.edu), and Argosy (www.argosy.edu). Northeastern University (www.northeastern.edu) and Colorado State (www.colostate.edu) also offer such programs. If you do a Google search of "online programs," chances are 95% of those are hybrid programs and you'll have plenty to choose from. Good luck!
PennState has several M.Ed. degrees http://www.worldcampus.psu.edu/degrees.shtml Colorado State has several degrees that might fir your needs including ths M.Ed. in Adult Education and Training www.learn.colostate.edu/degrees Not a degree but CSUDH has a Certificate in Community College Teaching http://www.csudh.edu/ccteaching/
PhD in Organizational Leadership I assumed from your signature line that you were looking for doctoral programs--so here is a b & m school in Texas with a religious flavor: Dallas Baptist University. http://www3.dbu.edu/leadership/phdLeadership.asp Tom
hi Tom - you hit that nail right on it's head. Hey Texas! What kind of degree you looking for? Level? Area?
Colorado State has an on-line Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Renewal, and Change. www.learn.colostate.edu/degrees Cost is around $30K.
This program is very inexpensive and is located in your neck of the woods for the summer residency weeks. http://vrc.nmsu.edu/distance/degrees/details.cfm?id=20 The website hasn't been updated in a while but they're worth an email. Quote from old thread: http://www.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=27662 "The program is set up to take advantage of the state's 6-units and under rule that allows out-of-state students to take up to 6 units a term and pay in-state rates. When I was looking at the program, I inquired about the summer sessions where 12-15 units were attempted online and in-person. They told me that it would be billed in such a way as to allow me (who lives in California) to still pay in-state rates. The only substantial cost that you have to consider is the cost of transportation and lodging during the summer sessions." New Mexico State University's 63-credit doctorate cost $13,494.60 in 2008. If you find a program, let us know.
