I am thinking of completing my second BS in Sports Coaching from the United States Sports Academy. I have completed my MS and BS in Computer Science and Information Assurance, but I have always wanted to coach and decided to go for it. I currently live overseas in Japan working for the Department of Defense and I am looking for any information regarding USSA. Thanks in advance.

Hi - I sprinted through the website and I don't mind saying that it looked like a great place. The school is regionally accredited with lots of sports-related majors and concentrations. I've had the idea that big time coaches got to be big time by working their way up the ranks but this might help someone to get started.

I had a teacher in school that got his MS from USSA. He recommended it to me when I was considering doing sports marketing/coaching

A guy at the local community college has a masters from USSA, he's coached football, basketball and softball here and I believe was AD at one time.

I just graduated from the United States Sports Academy this past Friday the 31st, with a Bachelors in Sports Science. They have three majors to choose from in the Bachelors program: sports coaching, sports management and sports science. This is a beautiful B&M school with a sports museum that you can attend physically are completly online.
Personally, I loved it. All of the courses are sports specific and the instructors are very knowledgable in what they teach. This school is not like uop are aiu. You have to take final exams in each course that must be proctored and all courses have 10 unit quizzes and about 5 assignments. If you like sports you will enjoy the assignments.
I have visited the school in Daphne, Al. and always said that I would go back to see their museum again.
If you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.
    I love the school.

I love the idea of majoring in sports. I mentioned this to a co-worker, and he looked at crazy. He asked me what I really loved and I replied sports. They always said major in something that you love and you will never work a day in your life.

I also live a few hours away from the campus.

Why not do the MS? That would open more doors for you if you ever want to do some adjunct teaching.

This is great info. I had never heard of this school prior to this thread but within it's niche it seems quite well known and maybe even a leader.

Thanks for all the information. I contacted the school and I am going to go with the Masters degree program that they have. Since I already have a Masters degree I won't have to take the GRE so my plans are to get started once my application and transcripts are processed.
