    Hi,

This is a well known mill certification organization. I sent once my resume and was offered the certification the same day without any verification of credentials nor a resume. Basically, anyone can get one as long as your application has the required credentials.
The problem with certifications is that they don't have to be accredited by any government agency in order to be recognized. You have many organizations such as EC-council or the SANS institute that are recognized but don't have any official accreditation nor government recognition.
We live the age of credential "creep"; a simple degree is not longer enough to get work and industry has the trend to ask certifications on top of the degree. My self, I was forced to get Microsoft, CISCO and management certifications in order to get consulting work as most agencies won't touch you if you don't have them in your resume.

Organizations like the Graduate Academy of Management that offers these certifications, are very aware of this and provide an instant certification that you could add to your resume in order to compete for a specific job. It might work for some people as their certifications are very close in name to known ones such as the CMA (real one Certified Management Accountant), MPM (real one is the PMP), MMC (real one is CMC). They are designed to deceive a potential employer as their names can be confused with real and recognized certifications.

There is nothing illegal with this operation as anyone is allowed to offer a certification. However, the Graduate Academy of Management has earned a reputation of a mill organization so it might damage the reputation of your resume.

Graduate Academy is for Graduate Degee Holders

The Posts above are misguided and somewhat confused.

The Graduate Academy is recognized and disclosed with the United Nations and the Dept of USA Education as a Certifying Body and Accreditation Council along with global diplomatic agreements with organizations worldwide.

The Graduate Academy ONLY recognizes candidates with accredited graduate education which is CHEA US Government recognized along with other requirements under the IBANEZ Supreme Court CASE and Peel Cases. Also recognizing EQUIS, ABA, AACSB and ACBSP Accredited Degrees.

The norm is that Anybody without a real degree can get certified by various groups by taking a quiz.

However the Graduate Academy members have completed dozens of courses and multiple exams at bona fide accredited government recognized institutions.

The person above who claims to have recieved acceptance is full of BULL, because the website says that they require good faith degree and resume under the Digital Sign. Act. and Criminal Statutes. The legal terms also say that all invitations or offers expire in 5 days. Thus, even if you did receive an approval, it is VOID.

Thus, these clumsy posts are not well researched and are without merit.

The GAM Graduate Academy is 100% transparent with the graduate requirements.

The GAM is a small organization because most applicants are not qualified under the rules.

The Graduate Academy membership is mostly composed of MBAs or higher who also have various certificates and distinctions.

The Graduate Academy of Management encourages all high school graduates to attend college with Certification in Mind.

This is the wave of the future. Go to a double accredited business school and complete the exams to become qualified to achieve certification.

People usually complain about what they dont understand.

The Degree/Certification Combo Programs are becoming the most popular in the USA and abroad.

    Kindest Regards, Education Lawyer

So a newbie sudden appears, anonymous, claiming to be an attorney, and also claiming all sorts of other stuff but offering no evidence. Just a bunch of empty claims of empty qualifications. What fun! Look here:

Or......how about people complain about things that are blatant fraudulent "credentials" which undermine the credibility of legitimate educational endeavors that the members of this board invest considerable time, effort, and energy in obtaining?

Thoughts and Accredited Education for Certification

I see you guys are having a good time here poking fun. And, you are right that well qualified masters degree holders or doctorate degree holders could probably achieve a number of USA certifications from various organizations very quickly.

To be honest, I know and respect some of you very well and have read several of your books.

I would not have suspected that any of you would have a problem with "Board Certification" that is awarded and issued to those who meet graduate requirements and have completed double accredited government recognized degree programs such as AACSB, ACBSP, EQUIS or even an ABA Doctorate Level Programs.

If you read websites such as the FINRA, CareerVoyages, or Department of Labor certifications body public lists online, you will find these and many other organizations that have the same or exact graduate requirements.

As you know, there are thousands of certifying bodies in the USA and abroad that do not offer any Degree of Diploma, but they offer various Certifications, Charters, or other with publicly disclosed graduate requiremnets. As you already stated, it is 100% legal.

The wave of the future is that candidates will achive certifications by applying to attend a government recognized college or business school, complete 4-7 years of accredited education in undergrad or graduate work with exams and then meet the experience requirements and abide by ethics an continuing education policies to achieve a professional designation or qualification. Today, this is becoming one of the chief methods of earning graduate designations and certification.

Thus, it is predicted that business schools, law schools, engineering programs, and other programs such as IT/Computer Science departments will continue to develop proprietary programs for certifications or form direct alliances with self regulated boards.

At present, various certifying bodies already have several hundred registered college or university programs or alliances globally which is a new trend over the last 15 years.

As stated, we are not talking about a degree or diploma but rather "Certifying Bards". Thus, this discussions is about whether government recognized degree programs should qualifiy as the educational and assessment component for any given professional designation.

    Sincerely and Kindest Regards, EL

    Double Accredited Education Backs Certification

I see you guys are having a good time here poking fun. And, you are right that well qualified masters degree holders or doctorate degree holders from accredited institutions could probably achieve a number of USA certifications from various organizations very quickly.

To be honest, I sincerely respect educators and academics in this board who have achieved accredited education and passed various exams to earn a graduate degree in a specific field and concentration.

I would not have suspected that any of you would have a problem with "Board Certification" that is issued or awarded to those who meet graduate requirements and have completed double accredited government recognized degree programs such as AACSB, ACBSP, EQUIS or even an ABA Doctorate Level Programs from Accredited Law Schools.

If you read authoritative certification websites such as the FINRA, CareerVoyages, BLS.gov, or Department of Labor websites about certification bodies which are publicly disclosed, you will learn abou many organizations and find these and many other certifying boards that have the same or exact graduate requirements.

As you know, there are thousands of "self regulated" certifying bodies in the USA and abroad that do not offer any Degree of Diploma, but they offer various Certifications, Charters, or other with publicly disclosed graduate requiremnets. As you have already stated, it is 100% legal.

As you know, some groups have hundreds of thousands of members and do not require any accredited education.

The wave of the future is that candidates will achive vendor neutral certifications by applying to attend a government recognized college or business school, complete 4-7 years of accredited education with exams and then meet the experience requirements and abide by ethics an continuing education policies. Today, this is becoming one of the chief methods of graduate certification.

Thus, it is predicted that business schools, law schools, engineering programs, and other programs such as IT/Computer Science departments will continue to develop proprietary certifications or form direct articulation alliances with self-regulated "VENDOR NEUTRAL" certifying boards.

At present, various graduate certifying bodies already have several hundred [accredited] registered college or university programs or alliances globally which is also a new trend over the last 15 years.

Therefore, the highest educational standards are with organizations and certifying boards that require "Double Accredited Degree Education" such as the Graduate Academy.

Education from from AACSB, ACBSP, EQUIS or ABA programs are generally "Double recognized" by the Government and the Accreditation Agencies as per the CHEA listings.

Overall, most employers respect the top 400 business schools and top law schools in the USA which are AACSB and ACBSP and ABA accredited.

    Sincerely and Kindest Regards, EL

US Investigations into AAFM Diploma Mill

Diploma Mills are being scrutinised by various regulatory bodies here. So have asked US Dept of Education (DOE), US General Accountability Office (GAO), Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and others to investigate exactly what AAFM is doing.

    AAFM Certification process

Perhaps PROFESSOR Mentz can correct the worldwide perception of his organisation.....here is the certification process and Mentz is challenged to contradict this. 1/ Log on to AAFM website 2/ submit resume 3/ pay money via credit card 4/ get certificate ........there is no training, no scrutiny, no coursework, no nothing ......just pay and collect.
