Does anyone have any info on the University of Advanced Research-Hawaii Campus? Received an email from them regarding a MBA online. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

This is not a university. It is a business posing as one, issuing certificates that purport to be degrees. At best, this "school" is tolerated by the state of Hawaii. (I don't know if it has been one of the schools subjected to recent action by the state....) Also, the ad I've seen touts their NCES Unit ID number, which has absolutely nothing to do with any form of recognition by the U.S. Department of Education. This is a very deceptive practice.

I cannot find a working url for them. Where do they say you should go to contact them?

With dozens of MBA programs now available online, it is wise to choose one with proper recognition/accreditation.

To pull up their website you must call their phone number in the email and they give you a url in their message. The website is http://212.250.240.161
You will need the username of ierp2000 and the password of 507033. Thanks for the insight.

You know, I'm not sure to whom I should direct most of my anger: To the scam artists who pull such "degree programs" together; To the regulatory officials that effectively turn a blind eye or; To the consumers who ignore some basic common sense and provide money to the scam artists.

I mean, how likely is it that a school will offer anyone tuition free graduate school with absolutely nothing in return?

In one of the several earlier threads on this scam, it was pointed out that would-be faculty are paying a sizeable fee in order to join the faculty. So the business plan could well be to make the big bucks by signing up a large number of gullible faculty, then doing degrees for the gullible students for little or no tuition.
