I have really enjoyed my distance learning classes at FHSU so far. A few years back I planned on taking a few classes, any classes, just to burn the rest of my G.I. Bill money. But, I thought long and hard, and decided to go for a bachelor degree. I am glad I made that move, and I am glad I picked FHSU to get started. Thanks to all for the input - now its back to business.

    Good job

How long will it take you to finish?

It depends. I am currently looking at a 18-month degree completion program at Oakwood University. I still need to bang out a few gen ed classes for this option. If I stay at FHSU, the time frame would be about the same. My best guess is about 2-2.5 years - I'm taking my time.

    Hi,

I'm glad you're enjoying your classes with FHSU. I am a long time proponent of DL (obviously, since I've been around here for a while).

My one piece of advice to you would be to look at the fine print for schools that offer "12, 15 or 18 month degree completion programs." My current school, Bellevue University offers a 12 month degree completion program. What this actually means is that you can complete the requirements for your major within 12 months, not all of the degree requirements (electives, etc.). In my case, I'll actually be finished with the 36 credits required for my major (Behavioral Science) in 10 months. But it will take me another 3-9 months to complete the other 31 credits.

    Best of luck.

I added the extra 6-months to 1-year to get those done. I have the electives, I just need 15 or so general education hours and the upper-level requirements.
