I am overwhelmed at all of the DL choices and frustrated at all of my wasted time ruling out diploma mills. Does anyone know of any GOOD brokerage services which (for a fee) search through the myriad of DL degree programs and matches them to a client’s resume/transcripts?

Well.... you've kinda got that for free, right here at degreeinfo. You'll still have to do some of the work yourself, but you can at least get some reliable information on which schools to look at, which to avoid, and so forth.

So, if you want to start the process, tell us what degree level your seeking (bachelor, masters, doctorate), and the subject area... and sit back and wait a little while, and you should have some helpful responses.

BTW: I can't in good conscience recommend the "degree consulting service" that is spoken about in Bears Guide. While it's pretty cheap ($75-100), I am not at all convinced, based on personal experience, that the advice you'd get from them is the best you could get.

There are some other consultants out there that are probably decent, but you can, with a little help, do the work yourself and save the bucks.

I frankly think you'll get as good -- and probably better -- advice here for free as what you'll get paying somebody else.

    Best of luck!

I agree with Chip. Most brokers are aligned with one particular school and will find a way to make that school your BEST choice. This board has a variety of persons with a variety of backgrounds. What degree do you want (need) and in what area? Sit back, relax, look at the choices offered and then do some work for yourself to determine a best fit. But if you don't wish to do that you probably can find a broker but as I ask my counseling clients "are you ready to live your life based upon my 'to do' list?"
