Hello, I am on the search for Professional Dev. Credit in Psych that converts to College Credits. Examples of this type of credit would be Ed2Go, FEMA, and USFA. I am narrowed in on the search for psych courses. This will serve as a resume builder in the Prof. Dev. area before I convert these to college credits. Please let me know if anyone has seen anything. Sadly, Professional Focus-Fort Hays sold to another entity and lost its credit transcripting rights. Those courses are now only used for salary enhancement but not qualified for college transfer. Thanks.. and to the members who support us in the services...Many Thanks. Hille

    Just a thought.

The American Psychological Association offers independent study programs (for CE credit). Perhaps you can then convert this type of credit to regular college credit using the portfolio process.

If you are looking to enhance your professional credentials you could perhaps become a member of the APA.

There may be other professional associations offering continuing education opportunities.

The American Council on Education has evaluated thousands of courses -- academic, corporate, military, etc. -- and produced the recommended number of academic credits. Not every university accepts their recommendations, but a great many do. They used to publish their recommendations in two huge annual small-type large-page volumes . . . but a quick search just now suggests that it may be all on-line. This should direct you to the courses, but you'll need to find out if any school of interest to you will accept the ACE recommendation.
