I've made a thread last November for guidance on distance degrees but I did not have a clear decision, but I heard that Queen's and Waterloo are offering distance UG degrees. But I want to know some issues:

    1. Waterloo just offer general UG degrees without give us a option to get Honours degree. But can I get the 400- sreies credits from other institutions and apply a Honour degree? Or get in their summer school?

    2. How's the B.A degree by correspondence study by Queen's? What kinds of majors can study by this mode(eg politics, psychology)? Or can I study a BA(Honours) degree by this mode?

Hope somebody who studying in these programmes can give a answer.

Thus, UBC have a Bachelor of Real Estate cooperated with Thompson River U. But I knew I can apply a UBC degree but I don'ty know can subjects offered by UBC can go through a distance learning mode?

Are you a Canadian or do you have a reason for wanting a degree from a Canadian university? What about Athabasca University? IIRC, someone that used to post here obtained an undergrad degree in Philosophy from the University of Waterloo and wrote positively of the program.

From the University of Waterloo distance education web site,
    "
    Bachelor of Arts

A general BA, Liberal Studies (formerly known as non-major) is the preference of students who wish to take courses in a wide variety of subjects without concentration in a single subject area. This plan is available as a Three-Year or a Four-Year degree.

A general BA, with a major permits a broad education in the humanities, the social sciences, and elective subjects, while providing an opportunity to study a single subject in depth. English, Philosophy, and Social Development Studies are offered as Three-Year Majors by distance education. Neither joint majors nor minors are available within the framework of a Three-Year Degree.

A Four-Year general major degree, which permits a more in-depth study in a single subject area is available in Social Development Studies. Enrolment in a Four-Year Major provides an opportunity to complete a minor (i.e., a group of 10 courses in a second subject area in Arts or another faculty).

    Bachelor of Science

The General Science, Non-Major, BSc degree, is a Three-Year Academic program when taken full-time on campus. You can also complete the General Science program entirely through distance education or through any combination of distance education courses and/or on-campus courses.

The Four-Year Honours BSc Degrees must be completed primarily through on-campus full-time study. This is due to limited course availability through Distance Education and because Honours degrees have laboratory requirements that are not available through Distance Education."

Maybe they will just choose to ignore your question without the courtesy of a response the way you chose to ignore mine. ;)
