Here are the ones I know: DETC - The Distance Education and Training Council. Used to be the National Home Study Council. Accredits some distance learning schools up to Masters degrees. RA - Regionally Accredited. This refers to accreditation by one of the six regional accrediting agencies. e.g. Western Association of Schools and Colleges CCU - California Coast University. This is an unaccredited California schools (been around for a while) that offer degrees at all levels by distance learning. DBA - Doctor of Business Administration B.Sc. - Bachelor of Science (same as BS) ATS - Association of Theological Schools. This is an accrediting organization for schools of Religion and Theology. TRACS - Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. This is another accrediting organization for Religion and Theology. Happy Reading! ------------------ David F
