I was wondering if anyone on this forum is enrolled in the University of Texas at Dallas's Master in Accounting and Information Management program?

Basically, I'd like to pursue a Masters in Accounting with a small amount of prerequsities. The UTD has only one prerequsitie that I know of, but it is a little pricey. If anyone knows of any other online Masters in Accounting programs, I'd greatly appreciate your sharing.

    Thanks,

I'm currently a full-time MBA student at UT Dallas, but I've taken electives (and had classmates in the AIM program). The Accounting courses I've taken were very tough (note: I have a 710 GMAT score - so that should tell you how hard some of the courses are. Getting a B in one of the advanced tax courses is considered a solid grade.). I've also sampled one online course, and I can tell you that it is of the same standard as my regular classes. UTD has a very good reputation in Texas and was recently ranked among the top 50 full-time MBA programs nationwide by US News (it's tied with Babson at #49).

I agree the tuition may be a bit more expensive than other online programs, but I doubt you will find anything more affordable than UTD among the top 50 schools.

Mr. Eric Brown received his MBA from UTD via distance learning. Maybe you ask him some relate question.

I'm currently a full-time MBA student at UTD, but I've taken an online course from there as well. The online course was as rigorous as the regular courses. Also, the Accounting courses I have taken were tough. There is no grade inflation at UTD, so an A is really an A and a B is a good grade, especially in the tougher courses. Regarding the price, I think it's pretty reasonable given that UTD is a top 50 business school according to US News (UTD is tied at #49 together with Babson). It's even cheaper if you're in-state. I don't know any other program in the top 50 which is as affordable as UTD.

If you have further questions, I'll try my best to answer them.
